Health & Safety

Abbey Scaffolding's commitment to Health and Safety doesn't just come from a requirement to meet legislation, it comes from each member of the team striving through a concious effort to make sites safer. Our work and environment is naturally dangerous and hazardous and everyone at Abbey Scaffolding ensures best practice and sensible approach to scaffolding and access solutions projects.

Our safety team attends regular site visits to ensure nothing has been missed and that structures and surrounding areas are safe to client, pedestrians and our own staff.

Abbey's scaffold operatives and team members undertake the CITB Safety Test, to inform and better understand the risks and dangers within the project environment. The management team regularly monitors legislation to ensure the highest standards are met on site.

Abbey Scaffolding Swindon are members of NASC which operates a strict policy of full compliance to all new legislation and has its own code of conduct. This separates the confederation membership from the rest of the industry. Through the NASC annual membership audit the confederation ensures that NASC members uphold best practice as professionals. This means that the NASC do not look for shortcuts on safety, which could put lives at risk.

Regardless our the project size we ensure that all our scaffold project team participate in a full site induction and safety training prior to exposure to the site environment.
